Preserving Native American Heritage With Fashion | Alicia Velasquez
Today my guest is Alicia Velasquez owner of The House of Dotł’izhi, a boutique clothing store and art gallery that features garments, jewelry and artwork that portray not only her Apache, Yaqui, Spanish and French heritage but many other local indigenous artists work. Every piece she makes is handmade. She handcrafts bespoke, limited edition and one-of-a-kind pieces by infusing unique designs with traditional techniques that were handed down to her by her father and elders.
